MPG
The 2010 Jeep® Grand Cherokee's 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine incorporates advanced technology that results in for excellent fuel economy and driving range.

The 3.7L V6 engine is standard on Limited and Laredo. The fuel-efficient V6 has a 9.6:1 compression ratio, 58-psi fuel injector system and low-restriction intake manifold.

The 5.7L HEMI® engine, with its economical Multi-Displacement System (MDS), provides power and excellent mpg.

Chrysler estimates that since its inception of MDS in 2005, nearly 100 million gallons of gasoline have been saved, along with reduced carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of close to a million metric tons.

The 6.1L SRT® HEMI® V8 engine features free-flowing intake / exhaust manifolds, floating-pin pistons and free-flowing exhaust system for aspirational performance.

Off-Road Performance
You can expect to Go Anywhere, Do Anything™ thanks to two available Trail Rated® 4WD off-road systems, in addition to the standard two-wheel-drive system.

There are four capable 4WD systems to choose from: Quadra-Drive® II, Quadra-Trac II®, Quadra-Trac I® and the SRT® 4WD with electronic-active NV146 transfer case.

You'll also find a skid plate group, telescoping rear driveshaft that adjusts for small changes during normal suspension travel and a newly located gas tank that allows the tire to be mounted under the vehicle for added versatility.

Powertrain
Selecting an engine and transmission is an important part of your new Jeep® brand vehicle experience. Select between several innovative and capable engines.

• 3.7L V6
• 5.7L HEMI® V8
• 6.1L SRT® HEMI® V8

The transmission allows fully automated shifting when in the "drive" position, or the driver can also manually select each gear by moving the shifter left and right from the "drive" position. This gives the driver the ability to precisely match any on-road or off-road requirement.

Towing
The Jeep Grand Cherokee's towing capacity is a healthy 7,400 pounds, when properly equipped.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee’s available Trailer Sway Control (TSC) system helps reduce trailer sway and improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic.

TSC alternates brake pressure to automatically correct oscillation in the vehicle trailer system.

TSC does not require any driver input. It automatically activates when needed.

Handling
The Short- and Long-Arm (SLA) independent front suspension on Jeep® Grand Cherokee provides a greater sense of precision and control.

The five-link rear-suspension geometry, including a track bar, helps match lateral stiffness to that of the front suspension for optimum handling.

Rack-and-pinion steering completes the package for precise steering with uncompromising off-road performance.

Warranty
We’re confident in our vehicles and we’re backing them with a new 5-year / 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. The powertrain limited warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair a covered powertrain component – engine, transmission and drive system – on most new Dodge, Jeep® and Chrysler vehicles. Coverage now also includes free towing to the nearest Dodge, Jeep® or Chrysler dealer, if necessary. The warranty is transferable too, so if you sell your vehicle during the warranty period, the new owner will still be covered.

Plus, our 3-year / 36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty provides bumper-to-bumper coverage for your vehicle, from the body to the electrical system.

Protection
Safety and security come first. The Jeep® Grand Cherokee employs both passive and active safety and security features, such as standard advanced multistage driver and front-passenger airbags and front and rear side-curtain airbags.

The Side Occupant Protection System with front and rear side-curtain airbags , knee bolsters, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and four-wheel Antilock Brake System (ABS), have been designed to help keep you safer during your on- and off-road adventures.

Accident Avoidance
During extreme steering maneuvers the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) helps maintain control by sensing when the vehicle is starting to over- or understeer.

ESP automatically applies individual brakes or controls the throttle to help you stay safely on course. When you don't want it, you can switch it off.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee's four-wheel disc Antilock Brake System (ABS), brake assist and all-speed traction control helps prevent wheel lockup for improved steering under extreme braking and slippery conditions.

Anticipating the need for additional traction, all of Grand Cherokee's four-wheel drive systems automatically respond to wheel slippage and improve vehicle stability.

Theft Deterrents
The remote keyless entry fob controls door and tailgate locks, and includes a panic alarm. The Sentry Key® Engine Immobilizer provides additional safety when entering the vehicle at night. It also makes sure your vehicle never goes anywhere without your permission.

An available alarm system, as part of the Security and Convenience Group, deters would-be thieves from breaking into your Jeep Grand Cherokee, keeping your personal items safe.

Parking Assistance
For an added level of parking security, there's the ParkView® Back Up Camera — a rearview camera that features an instrument-panel-mounted 5.8-inch diagonal screen, which shows a real-time view of what is behind your Grand Cherokee.
